‐ Working exclusively on the PHY layer for innovative solutions in resource allocation and have filed provisional patents on the same topic
‐ Developed a D2D enabled wireless simulator to obtain results to be patented or published
‐ Undertook research on the D2D discovery and synchronization issues
• Machine Type Communications (MTC)
‐ Focus was on low cost MTC UEs based on the 3GPP RAN1 requirements
‐ Led the research and executed feasibility studies on the different architectures available and its possible applications with an Indian perspective
‐ Carried out individual research on spatial modulation and STSK and their probable use cases on modern day MTC systems
• Broadband Wireless Simulator (BWSIM)
‐ Tasked as the administrator of the BWSIM, a modular LTE simulation platform for 4G technologies compliant to 3GPP Rel. 12, capable of carrying out system and link level simulations
‐ Involved in the development, testing and release of the simulator to clients
‐ Focal point between CEWiT and other organizations involved in projects dealing with the optimization of the simulator
• Achieved 100% performance ratings consistently in the quarterly performance analysis
• Released internal white papers on various simulation aspects such as cell drop methodologies, transmission modes, frame structures, fading channels and resource blocks
• Attended and assisted in hosting the 3GPP SA1#62, CT#74, CT#54 BIS meetings
