I aim to gain experience in the in fashion retail and customer service part time paid work, I would like to work with a diverse group of people, from all walks of life. This role helped me to learn about people younger and older than myself and support them in the best way suited for them. It was also my responsibility to resolve any issues that arose and if I was unable to do so I would signpost to another member of the team that was more suitable to advice. This involved listening to any issues from members of the group and helping them to find a solution. With this responsibility I used good listening skills along with problem solving and communication skills helping me to develop my leadership skills. During my time as a mentor I was a member of the marketing committee for Stage2, this involved learning about and promoting the group and its shows through social media for example Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. With a small team of members, I helped to create a display board for an upcoming show that was displayed in the front of house in the theatre. I followed a design that another member of the team had created to display information about the show and the actors taking part. I am also a part of Birmingham's Children in care council. The main responsibility I have as an advocate is my knowledge of the situations young people are going through due to being a child in care myself. As an advocate we create ideas on how to improve situations for children in care. I liaise with social workers and Independent Reviewing Officers about the way they deal with different circumstances and give them advice of different or alternative ways in which they can approach and handle that situation. I also volunteered at my church Tuck shop helping to sell snacks after the service and also helping to clean the church on Saturdays this helped me to support the church I was going to. I have previously been a member of Theatre Peckham when I lived in London. During my time at Theatre Peckham I was involved in various activities such as Musical theatre, Tap, Ballet, Martial Arts and plays such as Mrs Plum the Plumber.. I was also a member of Stage2 Youth Theatre when I moved to Birmingham. At Sage2 I was involved in five shows 2 of which I had a main role in 'A fallible lecture' and 'Spoonface Steinberg'. At college I regularly attend the gym on Mondays as I am also in to fitness. As a child I was a part of the Hero's Award among many other young people in London. I have also received various achievements such as Long Service, Attendance and achievement from Stage2. During my time at Hall Green School had received the head teachers award twice in a row I am very proud of this as it was such a great school. I had also taken part in Birmingham's Pentathlon for young people in Birmingham.

Mes souhaits

Après mes études

My career plans are to graduate from university and become an actress. Preferably I'd like to go into theatre but I also am interested in Movies and TV. As a back up plan, knowing how difficult it is to make it on stage once you have graduated I'd like to be able to teach as well in school and theatre companies if not set up my own theatre company and encourage more diversity in the performing arts industry.
